The Debt of Honour Register

The Debt of Honour Register is the electronic version of The War Dead of the Commonwealth Registers. It is amended as circumstances dictate. The search facility also includes general location notes on the Commission's cemeteries, memorials and casualty information. At larger sites there is a brief account of conflicts in the area and a history of the cemetery. In all but the smallest cemeteries, there is a plan and a photo of the site.

The register can also be searched for details of the 67,000 Commonwealth civilians who died as a result of enemy action in the Second World War.

Collated reports using various criteria can be provided at a nominal fee.

Military Records

The Commission does not have military service details for any casualty which it commemorates. Library and Archives Canada holds extensive collections of Canadian military records. Please refer to the Links page for further information.
